WRITTEN WALKTHROUGH

Complete the workflow step by step.

01

Choose a quick legend set

Select Video Surveillance, Network & Wi-Fi, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Intrusion Alarm or Audio & Video to load the most relevant symbols first.

Why this mattersQuick sets reduce searching and give each trade a repeatable starting library.

02

Search and place equipment

Search for the device, tap its card or drag it onto the plan, then position it where installation is expected.

Why this mattersUnique device icons communicate both location and equipment type without long callouts across the drawing.

03

Label and resize the symbol

Give each device a meaningful label, adjust icon size and set label text size for the current drawing density.

Why this mattersReadable labels help installers, estimators and customers identify the same device later in the proposal.

04

Improve contrast

Choose icon color, border color and border strength. Use black, navy, red or another high-contrast combination when the source plan makes cyan difficult to see.

Why this mattersContrast controls keep symbols visible without permanently altering the original plan.

05

Save the company legend

Save the selected symbols, colors, borders and label defaults to the company profile.

Why this mattersFuture projects can load the same visual standard instead of restyling every icon.

COMPLETION CHECK

Confirm the result before moving on.

  • Every placed device has a clear label
  • Icons remain visible over the source plan
  • Legend contains only project-relevant equipment
  • Company legend reloads in a new draft
